Transamerica Retirement Solutions today introduced the Market Insights: Healthcare App, a new mobile app designed specifically for retirement plan sponsors of healthcare organizations and their advisors. The app gives users the ability to compare their retirement plans to others in the healthcare industry based on a number of key metrics. This valuable tool is designed to give plan sponsors and their advisors information on how their healthcare retirement plans compare to others in the industry in order to help gauge their plan's effectiveness.
The healthcare app's user-friendly interface guides users through a short list of questions about their plan's features, and based on their responses, instantly provides:
- Comparative data: Users quickly receive data about their plan in comparison to other healthcare retirement plans.
- Industry best practices: The app also provides guidance on industry best practices, giving users additional insight into how small changes to plan design can improve retirement outcomes for participants.
- Detailed reporting: Detailed reports can be generated in one touch. Reports can be customized to include the plan sponsor and advisor's name and contact information, and they can be shared via email.
- Access to a library of resources: Users can also access resources such as white papers on plan design, healthcare market trends, and other relevant information.
Retirement solutions from Transamerica have earned the exclusive endorsement of the American Hospital Association. Transamerica developed the app based on data averages from a joint survey conducted with the American Hospital Association. The survey, titled "Retirement Plan Trends in Today's Healthcare Market," includes responses from 180 healthcare sector plan sponsors about features of their retirement plans. The healthcare app is an extension of this survey and gives plan sponsors and advisors mobile access to the survey data.
